The RTAC contributes to the identification of critical transportation needs, advocates for funding and infrastructure improvements, and ensures that our area is adequately represented in transportation decision-making processes. By fostering collaboration and prioritizing the unique challenges faced by rural regions, the RTAC helps create safer, more accessible, and well-connected transportation networks, for residents in the Northern Tier region. This committee meets bi-monthly and is comprised of three voting members from each of the five counties, as well as, representation of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT).
